PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter.

It's taken me awhile to fully take in this album and understand my feelings with it. I feel such strong emotions of sorrow and pain but also moments of triumph and overcoming. This album is my bloodletting; An exile into a tortured journey ending in the windy plains of peace and acceptance, but also of longing. Beyond the meadows, may these mountains never fall, and may the dawn come and warm my heart and soul, after this long exile.

Out of fckn nowhere - and I like it that way. Austere release an album that picks up the loose ends of TLLOA and adds some Germ DNA for good measure, resulting in a less extreme yet still haunting interpretation of their own DSBM legacy. Corrosion in its fullest, most beautiful realisation.
